What to do for Father’s Day in Chatham

Father’s Day in Chatham can be so much more than a tie and slippers! Here’s our ideas for pops on Father’s Day.

Disc Golf and Zip Lining in Rock Ridge Park

For Father’s Day, take dad out for a little Mother Nature. Plan a trip to Rock Ridge Park. Just four miles south of Pittsboro, Rock Ridge includes a walking trail, picnic shelter, mini-amphitheater and play fort. But the real fun is in the 18-hole disc golf course and the 80-foot zip line.

Rock Ridge Park in Moncure offers an 18-hole, par 65 disc golf course and a zip line.

Don’t have a gift for Dad yet?

New Horizons West has plenty of cool places for dad to sit.

Chatham has plenty of local businesses that have great gifts for dad. And downtown Pittsboro’s New Horizons West is making it even easier! Friday night, tune into their Facebook Page for online Father’s Day specials – gift wrapping included!

Brew a batch of Ale with Bear Creek Brews

Take a trip to an eclectic spot located near the center of Chatham. Bear Creek Brews is the only “nano-brewery” in Chatham. The Brew House is a repurposed 20-foot steel cargo container and the Beer Garden is constructed of recycled flagstone and granite, under spreading oaks and pines. They even use captured rainwater for the brewery’s cooling water. Many ingredients are grown onsite.

Dad can even brew his own clean Blonde Ale, Honey Pale Ale, Scotch Ale or other varieties and pick it up next month. Give Dave Peters a call to arrange a beer brewing session! 919-200-3930
