Every other week, Chatham Magazine features an adoptable animal from Chatham Animal Rescue & Education

Maddie, a Havanese breed, was purchased as a puppy during the pandemic but now needs a new forever home, preferably with another small canine companion. Maddie can be shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly. Her new home should have a yard with physical fencing (not invisible) that is attached to the home. She also requires humans who are not gone for long hours. Her best match would be with a family with dog experience, and experience with a current or previous non-shedding breed. She will need professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. She has been spayed, microchipped and is fully vaccinated and given preventative medications.
