Charity Information:
Fuel Up provides meals to food-insecure children at Perry Harrison Elementary since 2008. They ensure that students in need have food at times when school is not in session; such as on the weekends, through holiday breaks, and during summertime.
CORA’s mission is to acquire and distribute food to Chatham County residents who have a need for community support to keep themselves and their families fed, creating a community without hunger.
If you’d like to bring food items to donate*:
Fuel Up is asking for donations of shelf-stable breakfast items as well as other canned items. CORA’s most needed food items this month are canned chicken, canned fruit, pasta, rice, spices, oil, and oranges. Cash donations are welcomed by both organizations as well.
