Responsible Pet Ownership Informative Workshop
Do you have pets or are thinking about adopting a pet? Do you have questions about proper care for the pet and what you should or shouldn’t do?
Then this workshop is for you!
Owning a pet is a commitment for the life of that animal. Chatham County Libraries, Chatham Animal Rescue and Education, Inc, (CARE), Chatham County Animal Shelter, and Tysor Veterinary Clinic have teamed up to offer a free workshop on pet ownership and what being responsible for that pet means.
Topics include:
- Benefits of spay & neutering
- Basic vaccines, flea & tick control
- Fencing vs. tethering
- Pet Identification
- Strays in the neighborhood
- Animal neglect
- Surrendering pets to animal shelters

No registration required. This program is best for families with older children and is free and open to the public.
