Responsible Pet Ownership Informative Workshop

Do you have pets or are thinking about adopting a pet? Do you have questions about proper care for the pet and what you should or shouldn’t do?

Then this workshop is for you!

Owning a pet is a commitment for the life of that animal. Chatham County Libraries, Chatham Animal Rescue and Education, Inc, (CARE), Chatham County Animal Shelter, and Tysor Veterinary Clinic have teamed up to offer a free workshop on pet ownership and what being responsible for that pet means.

Topics include:

  • Benefits of spay & neutering
  • Basic vaccines, flea & tick control
  • Fencing vs. tethering
  • Pet Identification
  • Strays in the neighborhood
  • Animal neglect
  • Surrendering pets to animal shelters

FREE information on CAREs “Three for Free” spay & neuter program

AND get FREE Dog and Cat Food samples!

No registration required. This program is best for families with older children and is free and open to the public.

Please do not bring your pets. They need to stay safe at home!
