Opening the Heart with Cacao w/ heart2heart
Cacao, which has been described by ancient cultures as the Food of the Gods, and has been used in ceremony and ritual for centuries. This magical substance is cocoa in its raw, less processed form and has stimulating effects focus on the blood flow and the heart, not the nervous system. Pure cacao also contains tryptophan which is a precursor to serotonin, which allows the enjoyer to experience a higher sense of wellbeing and relaxation.
The heart2heart team, led by facilitator Brooksie Edwards, leads us through a Cacao Ceremony centered on processing and integrating grief in all its forms. Brooksie will be accompanied by Lolly Dunlap and Amy Durso who will be providing music and chanting through the ceremony. We will invite sharing, breath work, movement, meditation, and a long relaxation and renewal period. This ceremony will help to ground you, open your heart and deepen your connection to yourself and the world around you as we encourage the internal processing and release of grief that we may be carrying. All forms of grief are welcome here.
