Flora & Fauna – Cely Chicurel, Darcy Szeremi and Emily Eve Weinstein
Cely Chicurel has always loved nature and spent many wonderful hours exploring the woods, making up stories, and creating imaginary worlds. Along with her interest in nature came a growing love for science fiction and fantasy. Her hand-built creations out of clay include, animals castles, dragons, wizards, and other fantasy creatures.
Darcy Szeremi has a passion for metalwork since she was in her teens. She draws her inspiration from all aspects of life… joy, sorrow, nature, beauty, and people. She creatively translates these feelings into her designs. Designing her art creates happiness and she hopes that wearing her jewelry evokes happiness for others.
Emily Eve Weinstein traveled, painting the unwinding scenery of North America, before arriving in Durham in 1982. Nature takes center stage in her artwork, which can be found around the globe in homes and businesses. She lives in Chapel Hill with her husband, three cats, a lab-mix and a garden with many birds.
